What is the traditional clothing of Puerto Rico?

The traditional farmer, known affectionately as the "jibaro," wore a wide-brimmed hat woven from straw and a tailored cotton shirt and cotton slacks. Most farmers did not wear shoes. Women would wear long, full skirts, headscarves and a low-necked blouse. Large jewelry and hooped earrings were also typical.
